As Arkin is a Beast (instead of Human) and Lord (instead of Serf), he can work with other Beast Lords, Human Lords and Beast Serfs to some extent. He wants to Rule Sorrell, but if he can't ruling Kida and having another Lord ruling Sorrell is also good. He can even do better if he rules Sorrell and he can get another Beast Lord on the throne of Kida. However, if Sorrell is cursed - he's sure to lose.
